Sweet Mona’s Choir is a renowned gospel and world music ensemble. The choir combines great rhythm and extraordinary singing with some of the liveliest and original arrangements in Australia. The majority of the choir's repertoire is Gospel, but they also perform traditionals, folk and world songs from across the globe- including Africa, Brazil, Persia, Georgia and indigenous Australia. 25-40 singers, from a broad range of backgrounds, gender and ages, create spine-tingling harmonies. The choir generally performs accapella with some percussion and occasional guitar accompaniment . The sound ranges from a rich, deep resonance to a lively, energetic tone, to haunting melodies that stay with you long after the performance is over.
